They are names that have been woven and interwoven throughout the economic history of the United States. Yes, we're talking about MONEY! Lots of money! Very, very, very old money!
The entrepreneurial spirit and motivation of these great empire builders is seen today in those we call Nouveau Riche referring to those who have acquired fortunes within their own generation. One such amazing individual is Dr. Farrah Gray.
Nouveau Riche, Dr. Farrah Gray, 24, is the youngest African-American to earn one million dollars. Beginning his business career at the age of six, Gray sold body lotion door to door. At 14, he founded Farr-Out Foods, a specialty foods company which markets foods towards young people. At 16, the company was sold for $1.5 million.
The recipient of an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Allen University, Nouveau Riche Dr. Farrah Gray has been recognized Ebony Magazine as an entrepreneurial icon, business mogul and best-selling author. His amazing rags to riches story is proof positive that the Phoenix of Success can raise out of any circumstances, even those attributed to being raised on the impoverished Chicago South side.
Dr. Gray now resides in Las Vegas, NV where he became the second African-American to finance a comedy show on the Las Vegas Strip. Comedic icon Redd Foxx was the first. At 24, Dr. Gray's resume includes being the youngest member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers, Inc. Region 15 (N.A.R.E.B.), motivational speaker (earning $5,000 - $10,000 per appearance) founder of the Urban Neighborhood Economic Enterprise Club (UNEEC), and co-host of "Backstage Live", a radio show in Las Vegas.
