Today, I'm "Rocking the Red Pump".

Today is National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. This nationwide observance is an initiative designed to raise awareness of the impact of HIV/AIDS on women and girls.

This is a call to action! Women represent 27% of all new AIDS cases with African-American women accounting for 66% of that group.

Here at Sojourner's Place, the issue of HIV/AIDS is of great concern and import. As in the past, we will continue to provide information, education, and resources on this dreaded disease.
