Sojourner's Place

you good, obama! you good!

Talk about an offer you can't refuse! If you watched the roll call of delegates, then you have just witnessed the art of political maneuvering that was seamless, artful, and at its best.

While I was stewing over the fact that Obama had agreed to allow HRC's name to be placed into nomination, little did I know that Barack would employ some good old Chicago-style politics to let me know that he was still in control. {Standing Ovation & Hat Tip To You!}

So, what did he do, you ask? He gave HRC an offer she could not refuse. He said yes to placing her name in nomination - but at a real and significant price. The price was that New York would not cast its delegate votes but rather HRC would have to interrupt a roll call vote at a time when Barack had two-thirds of the delegate count and nominate him by acclamation. And just in case she reneged on the deal, well there was Illinois ready to step right on in. And no doubt the "story" would leak and thereby ruin any future political plans she would have. Dayum! Brilliant! Simply Brilliant! NOW THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING 'BOUT!

McCain, word to the wise should be sufficient: I'd be real cool if I were you - cause this young man ain't no joke!

Speak the Truth!

Obliged to you for hearing me, and now old SjP ain't got nothing more to say.

@ Ms. Marva, You got that right!

I have absolutely no idea what that means in terms of votes or how they're counted.

I'm guessing though that Barack has Hillary on lock! ;)

Sojourner,

You sho' 'nuff right about this one. Barack is most definitely no joke. The boy is on it. Those foolish enough to mistake his calm demeanor for weakness are soon finding out that he cuts like a knife. But he slips it in so smooth you don't even know you've been slit until it's too late.

Folks better recognize...

@ Believer, if mean the votes HRC received during the primary, well all of that became null and void with the acclamation nomination. So basically, no one will ever know how many delegate votes she "had". And that is one of the things that is so brilliant about that move. But you are absolutely right! He has both Bill and Hillary on lock!

@ Keith, got that right! This race is going to be like Ali and Foreman. Barack is letting McCain do all of the swinging right now. Letting him spend all of his money. Oh, but when the time is right - everybody better get out the way cause Obama is going to come out swinging and swinging hard. Watch...it will start tonight with his speech tonight. Its gonna be on!
