Sojourner's Place

old school friday...duet

Posted by SjP in ,

Today is Friday and that means it's time for a little old school music. This week's theme is Duet. I suspect that we'll see some good ones like Peaches and Herb, Diana and Lionel, and even Luther and Gregory. But, I pretty sure that you'll only find Streisand and Gibb and Sojourner's Place. So sit back, get a glass of wine, relax and enjoy the groove...

"Guilty"

"What Kind of Fool"

Obliged to you for hearing me,
and now old SjP ain't got nothin' more to say...

Excellent choices! I love the part in "Guilty" where Barry sings "make it a crime to be out in the co-o-old". I also love the harmony "It oughta be illegal". Hell, I love the whole thing!

"What Kind of Fool" is one that you don't hear much anymore. My selections for OSF this week are somewhat out of left field too.

And I'm glad I found theme here. These songs are the best, and I love it when I hear something outside the box...

Oh this was great! Talk about a classic combination. Streisand, who has got to be in possession of one of the greatest female pop voices of the past two generations, and Barry Gibb, who truly has one of the most uniquely recognizable voices in the male pop category. Plus the visual combination of how classy they both are and their stage presence.
Yeah. This was a great pick for sure.

Happy OSF! Barbara Streisand was in a movie that I enjoyed watching back in the day ... Yentl. She does have a remarkable voice...

Thank you for visiting my OSF post today. I invite your blog readers to check out Billy Preston & Syreeta if they have time or inclinaton. These two had a great duet back in 1981 that I think y'all will enjoy!

That's what I appreciate about you Soror. You definitely think outside the box musically. We need that in OSF. Nice!
