Sojourner's Place

blogblast for peace: dona nobis pacem

Sojourner's Place is please - no overjoyed - to participate in the Fifth Launch of BlogBlast For Peace! Created - The Fifth Launch! Created by Mimi Lenox of Mimi Writes, the Blogblast for Peace occurs twice a year and has as its mantra Dona Nobis Pacem that translates "Grant Us Peace".

Mimi's vision hope is:

...that the simple words we find scrawled on the face of our peace globes and blogs sink heavily into our hearts and collective consciousness to infuse and ignite us, as a people with a voice for change and a vision for peace. And then, one day soon, they will spill over into new territories, stepping off the blog page alone and inspire us to action in our homes and communities. It's already happening.

At one moment, the world celebrated in peace and in harmony. Let us never forget November 4, 2008! In one extraordinary moment in the history of the globe, that the world joined in and became one with the announcement of the 44th President of the United States - Barack Hussein Obama.

I encourage you to go here for a complete list of participants of the 5th Launch of the Blogblast for Peace.

Obliged to you for hearing me,
and now old SjP ain't got nothin' more to say...

It seems an odd thing to say, but sometimes I forget what a truly interactive medium blogging is.

There are real people behind these posts and comment boxes. Real people, who agree and disagree, and try to understand each other.

It's quite extraordinary and I'm glad for a day like this that reminds me of it.

Peace.

Beautiful! Yes, as I look outside at the moon this cold, Colorado evening, I feel at one with all beings on this planet.

And I feel honored to be alive during this historical vote.

Yay!!!!
