steele meet kryptonite

Posted by SjP in

Seems that the RNC has had just about enough of the Man of Steele and are about to inject with a dose of kryptonite. Yes, its true. According to Political Wire, the vote is likely to take place during the NY-20 special election later this month.

Republican insiders tell Political Wire that a no confidence vote on RNC Chairman Michael Steele is likely to be called after the NY-20 special election on March 31 -- regardless of whether Republicans win the seat or not.

I suspect that Steele will indeed be ousted. During his tenure as chair of the RNC, he has made a complete baffoon of himself. As my old college roommate would say, "he tested his strength and found out he didn't have none." Besides that, the RNC learned very quickly that Black folks don't support other Black folks simply because they are Black. Support is something that must be earned! They should have asked somebody. They should have asked #44.

So, if the kryptonite befalls upon Steele later this month, just who will the RNC select as their fearless leader. The
Pill-poppin' DopeBoy? The Ice Queen? The Newt? NOOOOOOO! According to Keith Olberman its going to be....drum roll....Lt. Dan!!!

Obliged to you for hearing me,
and now old SjP ain't got nothin' more to say...

6 sojourners hollin' back

Dang! Unca Mike just keeps on getting that political a$$ spanked!

Oh well, maybe he will be able to report back to the GOP about what life is like as an unemployed American.

I'm not a republican, nor do I particularly care for their platform. That said, it would be sad if they vote him out. Welcomed I'm sure, but sad. I say sad because at that end of the day, he'll be the benchmark for Black republicans. It's bad enough that we're thought of as incompetent as Black people, and in steps this guy. As much joy has filled my heart with the election of Barack Obama. Here's comes Michael Steele to be the Ying to the Yang that is hope and change.

*sigh*

Good morning SjP,

My comment evolved into a post so I decided to just say I appreciate the thought provoking topic you've posted this morning. I will have more to say about the Republican Party and Corporate America later on my blog.

I kind of figured it would not last. He was a supposed to be for the republicans what Obama was for the Democrats but it became quickly evident that he could not live up to that hype!

Let's see if they vote him out and put J. Kenneth Blackswell in his place, the other black man who ran for the chair and who made a point of saying people who were offended by the Obama the Magic Negro song were hypersensitive. He's also been quoted as saying Steele "needs to get to work or get out of the way."

If they haven't learned the lesson that they can't win people of color simply by putting a person of color in the chair, then maybe Blackwell will have the job he's always wanted.

This will be very interesting to see how all of this plays out for Steele and the RNC. They both are damned if they do and damned if they don't. Regardless, I'm really interested in hearing the rationale they come up with for either keeping him or kicking him to the curb.
